Mr. Hamm is a civic involvement includes leadership roles with the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana, the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Louisiana.
He has also funded numerous education initiatives across the nation, including college scholarships, classroom technology, and school capital campaigns. Mr. Derchi collects many awards and honours throughout his career, including the ECR’s Best Presentation Award, the CompuRAD Exhibition award, the Kodak Grant from the Royal Belgian Society of Radiology and the Astra Foundation Chair for lectures in medicine.
He is chairman of the University Hospital’s department of radiology and full professor of radiology at the University of Antwerp’s faculty of medicine. He is also an elected member of the University of Antwerp’s board of trustees, representing the faculty of medicine and health sciences.
